Barrie is located north of the Greater Toronto Area on the west shore of Lake Simcoe and is part of the Province's Greater Golden Horseshoe an area that is slated for revitalization and redevelopment.  Barrie is a booming city with two GO stations that make it an easy commute south of the city right to downtown Toronto.  Barrie also enjoys having swimmable beaches and challenging ski opportunities right at their doorsteps and an abundance of 90 parks that consist of greater than 300 hectares of parklands.  There are a variety of homes in Barrie and home prices are cheaper.
